It’s an ill wind

And even worse, it’s the winds of war.

There’s not much your favorite ancient astrologer can tell you right now, except that the Mars aspects are definitely warlike and the launch point in the heavens and planetary lineup was February 28, 2026.

One bright spot – Mercury goes direct this Friday. 🙂

And other than that, many other astrologers are simply saying to try and not fly up into the boughs with each news conference, breaking story or bulletin. As Thomas Paine said, “These are the times that try men’s souls.” I’d add women’s souls too, with a reminder that he was using ‘men’s’ in the collective sense for humans. Stay strong. Don’t believe the worst of what you hear or read. Get proof before succumbing to dismay or rage.

The next two weeks of March are likely to be simply hideous in terms of the Middle East and the U.S./Israel war against Iran. (Madame Z does indeed believe in calling it like it is.) On the home front, gasoline prices are going to continue their upward race, the farmers are likely not to have all the chemical fertilizers their depleted lands need to produce crops and of course grocery prices will be driven into the stratosphere by shipping problems, few pickers for the crops and corporate greed.

Take a break, my ducks. Right now, there’s not much we as ordinary civilians can do, except be sure to vote in any special elections (even one for the proverbial dog catcher), try to get and set back some canned meat, vegetables and fruit – don’t forget the peanut butter, tuna, flour and potatoes; and limit the time you spend in watching or listening to the news. Continue calling/emailing your ‘Congress’ people who are astonishing in their capabilities to have their heads stuck in the sand and their hands out behind their backs for their share of the slush/hush/lush funds flooding D.C. Don’t feed or give comfort to any lobbyist you may know. Participate in peaceful protests if you’re physically able to do so, make signs or sandwiches for the marchers if you can’t be on your feet that long.

The last week in March, things settle down for a bit. Mid-April brings the planets into a spectacular formation that traditionally is said to bring dramatic change. Mediate upon this change being for the betterment of all humankind. And don’t forget the hapless animals in your circle of protection as you work to throw one around each person or pet you hold dear. That circle of light and energy is real. I’ve seen it in action many times.

We’ll get through this. We’ll build better in our future because we’ll build communities, not corporations, not cabals, not clubs for billionaires. We will see the rest of the Epstein files and then file charges against the rich and famous. We will end senseless wars for fossil fuels and gratefully accept and work with Mother Nature’s wind, waterways and sunshine.

It’ll be hard. It’ll take guts and strength and compassion – and an unbelievable amount of tough, hard work. But we’re a tough, and when necessary, hard people. We are the People of the United States, no matter what form of government we choose in our new world. And we shall prevail.

May the Universe accept our labor and our love as we form a new society for all of us to participate in with our varied skills and talents. May the angels fight on our side and blessings from Heaven remind us that we are the only species granted free will, so what we may do for others becomes our collective mantra. Peace. – MZ
