A potentially five-ring circus will be on the horizon when you read this column posted Monday, February 16, 2026.
- Tuesday, February 17, has an annular solar eclipse which will be observed mostly in the southern hemisphere, below the equator. However, that doesn’t mean you may not sense something’s happening in our cosmos. (This eclipse is known as the “Ring of Fire.”) The new Moon will be in the last few degrees of Aquarius, the humanitarian sign.
- The Chinese New Year begins, and this year’s going to be a humdinger – the once-every-sixty-years appearance of the Fire Horse.
- Ramadan, the Muslim holy month, begins as well.
- Saturn will be cozy-comfy at 0 degrees and literally a few minutes in the fire sign of Aries.
- Mardi Gras or Fat Tuesday ends the wild carnival season as Lent starts Wednesday.
Choose whatever event or ‘happening’ calls to you to observe and contemplate, ducks. But do so responsibly. I wouldn’t expect less from my astrology students. MZ
