A bit of frivolity never hurt anyone. Let’s cast an eye on the colors that you’re drawn to wearing or use in colors for your home, and see if they are classified as being under the influence of your Sun Sign (and also check your Moon Sign or your Ascendant if you know them).
Aries: March 21-April 19
Red, of course, and the ‘hot’ colors derived from it, such as ‘hot pink,’ Schiaparelli Pink, fire engine red or tomato red. They’ve been known to wear monochromatic reds too.
Taurus: April 20-May 20
Pastel shades of pink, blue or other primary colors such as periwinkle or the lavender family including mauve. Anticipate soothing, peaceful colors.
Gemini: May 21-June 21
Opposites on the color wheel but often used harmoniously; violet and yellow. The Twins may also prefer prints to solids, or in the home, a different color on every wall.
Cancer: June 22-July 22
Colors which appear to have an aura of moonlight about them: smoky-grey, silver-blue, silver and shades of green as seen at dusk. A little mystery, London fog, hazy hues.
Leo: July 23-August 22
Gold, gold and more gold! For an accessory color, orange. Think of the many hues of the sun as it’s rising or setting, or shining through a window during different seasons.
Virgo: August 23-September 22
Somewhat of a Mother Nature palette here, with dark greens like forest green, dark browns as seen in autumn leaves and a ‘woodsy’ accent in their use.
Libra: September 23-October 22
Libras tend to few old-fashioned colors and more ‘avant-garde’ shades of primarily blues and pinks. Pale green may appeal to some.
Scorpio: October 23-November 21
Black, of course, and colors which have been ‘deepened’ with the addition of black – maroon, oxblood, sienna brown. Prefer a dramatic effect in their bedrooms.
Sagittarius: November 22-December 21
Camo may be a favorite, but Archers also like dark blues and purples. A bluish-purple appeals more to them than a reddish tinted one.
Capricorn: December 22-January 19
Somber colors frequently fill the closet and the home, ranging from gray to brown to dark green and other earth tones. Real, solid wood is a must.
Aquarius: January 20-February 18
White and the ‘zingy’ colors like aquamarine, turquoise, teal, electric blue or green; colors like the flowers depicted in “Avatar.”
Pisces: February 19-March 20
Colors of the ocean and other bodies of water, such as sea green, lilac; lily-pond colors and iridescent shades like fish scales shimmering in sunlight.
