Ah, time to study astrology as if it were your cup of tea, dear readers.
And with that, let’s choose words and/or phrases which might be particularly applicable for the conjunction of Uranus and Jupiter on April 20, 2024, and the week afterward. Yes, this aspect is just next month – and we’ll of course return to further developments again, as Uranus will turn retrograde for a five-month long sojourn, lasting into 2025. But let’s give everyone some signposts in order to deal with this particular planetary meeting.
Aries: March 21 -April 19
You probably should take all the credit cards out of your wallet and stash them in the freezer, Aries. This conjunction between the planet of sudden change and the expansive, jovial Jupiter could result in a major budgetary debacle. Delay getting that supersized sofa or sleek sports car. Your watch words: No wants, just needs. Budget.
Taurus: April 20 – May 20
And here we have yet another Sun Sign that might give in to spending unwisely. This isn’t really that unusual a conjunction, as Uranus and Jupiter have crossed paths many times – but Taurus, even you can succumb to a pair of planets urging you to cast away frugality. They are comrades with your Sun at some point, so remember: stop. Watch. Listen. Better to wait for this train to pass and not risk a financial train wreck instead.
Gemini: May 21 – June 21
Um – having two heavyweight planets in your Twelfth House of the subconscious isn’t the most comfortable aspect, Gemini. Perhaps you could divide the planetary pair with your Twin and thus conquer the sudden attacks of conscience this may bring. But if the conjunction brings you to apologize for hurting someone, it’s good. “I’m sorry,” can certainly help put a relationship back together. So, say it, mean it, and move past it.
Cancer: June 22-July 22
Jupiter may bring you a very large and very happy gathering to attend, and as a Moonchild, you should conquer any stage fright and go. Remind yourself Uranus is the ruling planet for telepathy, and wouldn’t you feel silly if you missed meeting the love of your life because of a sudden case of shyness? Best foot forward!
Leo: July 23-August 22
New beginnings can come to the fore as you have projects presented to you. Perhaps you’ve hesitated to initiate some new avocation or study which you’ve wanted to pursue for a long time; now would be the time to start, with Jupiter beaming its encouragement upon you. With Uranus adding a spark of surprise, go for it!
Virgo: August 23-September 22
Pick up a book or two on an unusual philosophy or religious group and explore a different mindset, Virgo. You tend to tread the same paths you did as a child, and yet that way of thinking can be stultifying as an adult. But don’t be surprised when your investigations yield the Golden Rule as a beacon.
Libra: September 23-October 22
You could be dealing with wills and legacies which you’d never anticipated, perhaps as a court-appointed trustee or other administrative post. Inherited money or property could need to be sorted out and Uranus may add a bit of mysticism as your dreams show you images of the original owner. Let intuition guide you.
Scorpio: October 23-November 21
Disagreements and quarrels within your closest relationships can have you on edge for a week or so; however, know that these will be resolved and a better foundation for those partnerships can be forged as Jupiter continues in your Seventh House for months ahead. Best not to lash out, but seek reconciliation.
Sagittarius: November 22-December 21
A new job, a new career, a new way of earning your daily bread – and with Jupiter helping, a better salary appears. But be aware with Uranus shuffling through, you might take time off instead of leaping into that tempting prospect. Look at what’s being offered from all angles and think it through, Sagittarius.
Capricorn: December 22-January 19
An unlikely romance with a partner involved in the stage or the glittering life of Hollywood – entirely out of character for the ‘traditional’ Capricorn. But not so unlikely with these two planets delightedly stirring up your lovelife. Think Shakespeare, and the world well lost for love. Have that fling to remember when you’re very old.
Aquarius: January 20-February 18
Pack up everything and move to where your heart tells you, is that on your agenda, Aquarius? It may very well be, and as your Sun Sign is ruled by Uranus, you tend to listen intently to its urging. You’ll likely regret it if you don’t make that move, so proceed – but have an alternate location if the first doesn’t work out.
Pisces: February 19-March 20
Everyone from your neighbors to siblings may be trying to communicate with you, demanding you come forth with your opinion of some drastic changes they’re considering making. You’ll definitely try to be tactful, but whether that will satisfy their need for a definitive solution is unknown at this time. Try to make them choose.
And so the planets continue in their orbits, heedless of the changes they’ve wrought or the chances humans have missed as this world kept turning and charts were studied for answers. Ultimately, the choice is yours, as to who your advisor is – but none is better than your own heart. Listen closely and then follow it swiftly. – MZ
