Sometimes just resting your eyes for a moment restores a bit of calm to your life. There has always been turmoil in the world; always injustice, always disparity of wealth, education or status.
But each generation aspires to overcome the weight of centuries and the latest disturbing news to build something of lasting value.
We must keep vigilant, watch over others much older or younger than ourselves and keep our determination to leave this world somewhat changed for the better. And we will. We hear the lessons of past history. Since we answer to ourselves first for our thoughts and actions, we shall allow our better natures to surge forth and right as many wrongs as possible before we “shuffle off this mortal coil.”
We will find answers. And flowers will bloom again in their time.
