Yes, indeed, that ‘beep beep’ noise you hear, that sounds like heavy equipment moving tons of even heavier ‘stuff,’ is actually five planets in retrograde motion at the same time.
As of October 3, 2026, Venus is retrograde in Scorpio; Saturn is retrograde in Aries, Uranus is retrograde in Gemini, Neptune is also retrograde in Aries, and Pluto is retrograde in Aquarius.
This doesn’t mean that you can pull the covers over your head and only think about getting up on October 16, when Pluto is the first planet of this five-plex to break free of retrograde motion and again go forward. It just means I’d advise going more slowly:
1.with your current love affair or lack thereof
2. and accept instead of dodging responsibility and dull routine
3. write down those fantastical ideas but only carry them out on paper for a while
4. count to fifty instead of ten when someone doesn’t grasp your meaning right away
5. make sure nothing in your past is going to rear up and bite you – hard.
Then you should weather these planetary cross-currents, solar blasts and possibly hurricane force winds much more easily.
It’s all part of the grand scheme of things, dear readers. And my responsibility is to warn you ahead of time about possibly significant trends of the planets circling about all our lives. These retrogrades have all happened before, and will happen again.
But it won’t hurt to have a little money tucked away (Capricorn), some canned food -and a manual can opener- stored (Leo to the rescue), a flashlight (Aries), a battery-run radio (Gemini) and several changes of clothing plus a warm coat and shoes handy(Pisces). Keep your prescriptions filled (Virgo) and your glasses and a spare pair handy (Libra). Have a written list of phone numbers and addresses that isn’t only in your phone, and your nearest neighbors’ phone numbers too. (Aquarius) Do you have a safe, warm place for your pets? Food and water for them? (Sagittarius)
I’m not predicting anything earthshaking or a looming catastrophe – just think like a prudent, calm Taurus; pick up those items gradually and hide your stash like a Moonchild, and figure out how to defend your home like a Scorpio. Using the positive attributes of the zodiac signs will help you figure out what to do next.
And I’ll have assisted you by play-acting my very best Chicken Little imitation so you’ll sit up and take notice. And then take action!
And FYI, Astrid is taking a sabbatical – she has some heavy family responsibilities coming up and may be traveling as well. I’ll keep you posted on all fronts.
