That philosophy of astrology again

Seemed only fitting for an ancient Greek statue to be the illustration for an ancient astrologer’s opinion on the best usages of the equally ancient system of astrology. (Dare you to use even more repetitions of the word ‘ancient’ in a sentence of your own.)

As a constant reader, you’re already aware that I believe a marvelous use for astrology is in smoothing interactions between humans. But let’s include new readers in a bit more information here. Another way to use astrology is to point out, via a Natal Chart analysis, the native’s traits, talents and foibles. Astrology can be help determine the next step in a career, whether to marry that person or just live together, or if it’s a good idea to move cross-country on a whim and a promise.

And working with just your Sun Sign can yield insights and multiple courses of action. Plus it’s a lot less flamboyant than carrying around a crystal ball for your decision-making, or pushing aside everyone’s dinner plate in order to lay out the Tarot cards. I have no quarrel with either system mentioned here; they’re both quite good in the right hands.

I merely wish to present the more intriguing aspects of a discipline that began with the Babylonian contributions to the world’s knowledge. And also to welcome all who are curious about the same. Over many blogs and weeks, I’ll be bringing information and even mythological tales to your attention, in order to provide each of you with a personal slant on your Sun Sign and other simple ways to use astrology as a tool. So keep reading!

Maybe there’s even some centuries-old gossip just waiting to be unearthed once again. Egad. M.Z.
