Another birthday already?

And here we are – at 250 years, in a country even older than I, Madame Zombra, and yet still in its building years.

That’s a good thing, in my estimation. Because your favorite astrologer has taken umbrage at many of the changes instituted by an inept, divisive and chaotic ‘administration’ while purporting to improve the daily lives of us Americans.

It’s beginning to look like we’ll skip another civil war (Thank the Universe) but be plunged into a national Reconstruction effort which will last decades as we rebuild such ineffable basics such as an iron-clad Constitution, the guarantee of personal rights as well as the right to privacy; a color-blind, ethnically-deaf and economically-indifferent Justice system wherein the law doesn’t grant special privilege to skin color, country of origin or how much is in the defendant’s bank account.

Start making your lists, dear readers, and also plans for implementing the changes which will restore voting rights, healthcare rights, the right to choose where you live, who you love, what education your children will receive and thousands of other decisions which will benefit all Americans – not only billionaires.

We have not lost our country. We have only started the skirmishes, the campaigns, the small battles and the large all-out wars which will bring the power for change into the hands of us all. And I believe Captain John Paul Jones said it best for us individual Americans: “I have not yet begun to fight.”
