Snippett Zone – Punny? Or Not?

The Mind Play

by Timothy Brady

Snippett, He, she, it is an amalgamation of a being who is all genders and genderless. Snippet thinks in short brief excerpts of thought and mind.

Snippett – the middle ground between light and shadow, between science and superstition. He, she, it lies at the pit of human fears and the summit of mankind’s knowledge. His, her’s, it’s knowledge is a unique place of numerical coordinates. It is an area which we call the Snippett Zone.

Fact: Light travels faster than sound. Is this why some people appear bright until you hear them speak.

Bright or Dim?

There are things about life and relationships that continually baffle the mind. One is the difference between a bright wit and a dimmer wit. Why is it that the comedian who plays the dim wit is usually funnier than the person who is witty and bright?

Buffoonish or Humorous?

Is it that human nature finds those who seem less intelligent more buffoonish than those who are don’t try to hide their intelligence when being humorous?

Why So Pun-ishing?

But then where do the punsters land within this bright and dim foolery? Those who punish with puns are either thought of as sadists exporting their painful play on words, or as the genius who is exploiting the double meaning of a word, that double entendre that stops the mind of most intelligent of humans in its cerebral tracks. This is accomplished by short-circuiting the neurons within the brain as the ambiguity of the pun bounces like a game of pong between the right side and the left side of the cerebrum before striking a nerve in the amygdala. Ping Pun?

Punny? Or Not?

Why can’t you play cards on a small boat? Because someone is always sitting on the deck.

I’m super friendly with 25 letters of the alphabet. I just don’t know why.

Don’t interrupt someone working intently on a puzzle. Chances are, you’ll hear some crosswords.

Which country’s capital has the fastest-growing population?. Ireland. Every day it’s Dublin.

Why can’t you run through a campground? You can only have ran, because it’s past tents.

The past, the present, and the future walk into a bar… It was tense.

Proving without debate a pun is mightier than the brain. – Snippit.
