I always figure it’s something heavy, man, when you get an email about the dreaded Staff Meeting. (gulp.) So it was the first thing this morning and we met in the office (we refer to it as the World Headquarters of Write Up The Road) with a blank canvas, so to speak because the email didn’t mention an agenda.
The CEO was really nice about it; she pointed out that while Madame Zombra had officially requested a sabbatical, the rest of us had disappeared from our blogs too, and she wondered what was happening. Because it wasn’t ‘happening.’ Like, at our sister site https://abishagirakezia.wordpress.com/ there weren’t any Abishag’s Adages, or Freditorials from that cool cat Fred, or Kibble Kids adventures – you get the picture.
Instant guilt trip.
But instead of telling me to get my love beads and shuffle my sandals out of there, I got my old slot back on Wednesdays and I’ll be writing a blog again about art and my newest discovery or freak out or my recent work. So, man, I got spared the chopping block and I can groove on the Art Scene again.
That’s a be-in every week then, you know, the ‘be there or be square’ ancient meme. And I’m amped; this should be a real blast. Dig out your bell bottoms and your tie-dyes fellow weirds and let’s chill together. Like, Wednesday. Again. Like old times (that’s a song, dude)!
A.R. Tist is jived to be writing blogs again.
