So I thought I’d show you this little drawing made from scratch board, to remind you of those grade school days when you’d scribble several colors of crayon over a piece of paper. Then your teacher would have you color over the whole thing, heavily, with black crayon.
Then you’d get a toothpick from the teacher, and would carefully scrape away portions of the black crayon to reveal a surprising picture underneath. It was fun, it was funky, and wildly unstructured.
